New York Stories partnered with Delta Faucet to create a 360-degree program leaning into our home-design DNA with Design Hunting and the Cut. The expansive partnership centered around a one-of-a-kind contest, Dream & Design: A Design School Challenge, created to discover the next generation’s best and brightest interior designers. Led by New York’s acclaimed design editor Wendy Goodman, the search ultimately awarded one rising designer a $10,000 scholarship, and the opportunity to showcase their creative vision on the Cut. In addition to several co-hosted events over the duration of the months-long partnership, New York Stories produced a complementary video series spotlighting four leading interior designers.
Dream & Design Challenge
To bring the Dream & Design contest to life, New York Stories put out a call for applicants from the top design schools, tapping our own Wendy Goodman to handpick five finalists along with Delta Faucet. Over the course of the contest, an ongoing content series included profiles on the young designers and articles showcasing their innovative designs. Finally, one winner was announced at a highly curated VIP culmination dinner attended by a crop of the design world’s most respected players. Afterward, Delta Faucet constructed a model of the winning bathroom design, which is displayed proudly at the company’s Indianapolis headquarters.
Parallel Video Content
In alignment with the Dream & Design Challenge, we created a video series featuring a few of today’s most inspiring and successful interior-design experts. Casting five distinct visionaries (including one duo) who embody the Delta Faucet values of innovation, vision, genuine integrity, and sophistication, we posed the question: How do you design with the future in mind? In each video, we illuminated how these designers incorporate forward-thinking solutions, style, and functionality into their unique approach, and organically integrated Delta Faucet product.
